Fly From Eastern Canada and Ski/Board the Same Day at Canada’s Most Convenient Resorts!

Kelowna, BC – Great news for skiers who like to get the most out of their winter vacation! The convenience of Big White and Silver Star’s ski-in/ski-out lodging is now being matched by vastly improved air service from key Canadian and American cities into Kelowna. Skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of new direct and non-stop routes, with our shuttles buses whisking guests to their ski in/out accommodation about an hour after they touch down. Some flights even allow travellers from eastern Canada to fly in and ski on the very same day! Kelowna’s modern, hassle-free airport is now the eleventh busiest in all of Canada, with an average of 30 flights landing each day!

Westjet recently announced daily (exc Saturday) non-stop flights from Toronto to Kelowna departing from Pearson International at 9:00 a.m. (EST) and arriving in Kelowna at 10:50 a.m. (PST). Flights start at $179 one-way, with taxes and surcharge extra. Westjet also offers daily non-stop flights into Kelowna from Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver, as well as direct (no plane-change) flights from eastern Canadian cities. Westjet flies 136-seat Boeing 737-700 jets on many of its routes. You can use your boarding pass to SKI FREE the day of your arrival!

Jetsgo is The ‘new kid on the block’ for Big White/Silver Star bound skiers and snowboarders is, whose low-cost daily (exc Saturday) air service connecting Toronto and Calgary to Kelowna will commence on January 10th. Affordable one-way fares will start at $49 for service from Calgary and $155 from Toronto. (Note: taxes and surcharges are extra). Jetsgo will be flying 108-seat MD-83 flights on this direct (no plane-change) route, which arrives in Kelowna at 11:40 a.m.

Air Canada services Kelowna with non-stop and direct flights from many western Canadian destinations, and has added a large-capacity Airbus A-320 on its daily 11:15 a.m. departure from Vancouver to Kelowna. The A320 holds 120 passengers (20 Executive Class seats and 120 Economy seats) and provides all of the comfort and speed of jet service. The Airbus connection facilitates travel to Big White and Silver Star originating in the South Pacific, eastern Canada, USA and UK. Canadian-bound skiers and snowboarders coming from Sydney can still take advantage of $900 round-trip airfares into Vancouver.

Finally, Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines continues its thrice-daily non-stop service into Kelowna from Seattle, with departures spread throughout the day to facilitate vacationers making flight connections from American or international destinations through Seattle.
