An upper low pressure area off the west coast will move through Washington state today and Thursday bringing periods of rain. The rain will be heavy at times tonight and finally ease to scattered showers on Thursday. Temperatures will be cool.

Friday to Sunday: The upper low will move far enough east of the region to allow some sunny periods on Friday. An upper ridge will give more sun and warming temperatures on Saturday and Sunday.
