The Gazebo is located a short walk from the Village centre on a gravel path. Our wedding Gazebo can be reached by foot. Due to the natural setting we regret that we cannot grant permission for any guest to drive their own motorized vehicle to be used for transportation out to the Gazebo.  If you need to transport any equipment or guests during this time, a Silver Star employee will need to drive a Silver Star company vehicle out to the gazebo for you at a charge of $50 per journey (max of 2 journeys).

The trail to the Gazebo is a multiuse trail and gets used by hikers as well as mountain bikers and can be a bit dusty during the summer. Please note that due to the trails being used by hikers and mountain bikers no motorized vehicles are allowed during operating hours. If you need to bring any large items to the gazebo this will have to be done by 10 a.m. or after 5 p.m.

As our wedding gazebo is located within our resort setting there are also a few points listed below that you should be aware of:

1. The general public could watch your wedding if they wish; no outdoor areas of Silver Star Mountain Resort can be blocked off or closed for a private function.

2. Throughout the summer there will be outdoor equipment operating on the Resort. We have chosen the wedding location carefully to minimize the impact of any noise on your wedding proceedings.

3. All public facilities are a short walk from the gazebo with the closest washrooms located in the village Town Hall building.

4. We can supply 60 white plastic chairs for your use if required. It will be your responsibility to set up and clear away on the day of your wedding.

5. Please note there is no power supply at the Gazebo.

6. While we do not provide a Justice of the Peace to preside over your ceremony, you are most welcome to bring your own wedding official.

7. NO VEHICLES ALLOWED BETWEEN 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. If you need to transport any equipment or guests during this time a Silver Star employee will need to drive a Silver Star company vehicle out to the gazebo for you at a charge of $50 per journey (max of 2 journeys).

8. This list is simply a guide, so please contact us for further information and to discuss how we can best make your day as special as possible.

For you and your guests’ enjoyment and protection, we have a few wedding guidelines to help you to get the most out of your special day.

1. We have chosen our dedicated wedding location very carefully, giving you and your guests the best possible mountain views along with ease of access from our village. To secure a reservation exclusively for your special day we simply ask for a 50% deposit of the wedding fee ($225 plus HST) and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. The rental of the gazebo is only available during our summer season which runs from last week in June to the first weekend in September.

2. As your wedding celebration takes place on our resort slopes, each of your wedding guests will be issued with a free resort hiking pass that clearly provides details of our liability policy for their information (this pass is for our trails only but does not include the chair lift). Don’t worry these do not have to adorn your best wedding outfit!

3. You are free to decorate our wedding gazebo to suit your own tastes and wedding themes. We simply ask that naked flames not be used and that all decorations are cleaned up on the day of the wedding.

4. As we are an environmentally-friendly resort, we ask that your guests throw bird seed, real rose petals instead of paper confetti or fabric petals.

5. A trip to the top of the mountain for a totally unforgettable photo back drop is included for the Bride, Groom and your photographer. If any other members of your wedding party would like to join you we are happy to offer you a discount on additional lift tickets. Our Summit Chair Lift runs every weekend, located right at the end of the village main street, it's an easy ride up and down for you and your wedding party. Please note the chair runs Fri —Sun from noon—4 p.m so in order for you to incorporate this activity into your wedding day,your ceremony should not be scheduled any later than 2 p.m.

Discounted lift passes are available through us here at the Groups Department.
Regular adult rate: $12 plus HST at ticket office.

When prebooked for your guests: 
1-7 guests - $10.80 per person plus HST (10% off)
8-20 guests - $9.60 per person plus HST (20% off)
20-30 guests - $8.40 per person plus HST (30% off)
30 guests plus - $6 per person plus HST (50% off)

For those wishing to arrive in style, why not consider our local horse and carriage service? The carriage with covered roof is drawn by a pair of impressive draft horses and is sure to add romantic old time ambience.

The service most requested is for the bride to be transported to the wedding site and the bride and groom and wedding party back to the reception area. The carriage can transport a maximum of 6 people, return journey from the village to the Gazebo.
Basic rate is $350 plus HST. If a rehearsal is required the cost is $450 plus HST.
A $75 per hour plus HST charge is made for additional wait time over and above the basic service.

A second carriage can be provided if required. The transporting of guests from the village to the gazebo can be accommodated at an additional cost.

A non refundable deposit of 50% of the carriage service charge is due 30 days prior to the wedding date. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior.

Through us here in the Groups department for Silver Star Mountain Resort we can offer you a choice of two reception venues that are suitable for smaller weddings. We pride ourselves on providing high quality catering in cozy, intimate settings.

For receptions of over 100 guests we recommend that you contact, the Conference Planner at Silver Star Club Resort, the Chilcoot conference centre is located here at the resort and can accommodate up to 350 guests. Silver Grill Steak & Chop House

This cozy, intimate restaurant offers you and your wedding party an exclusive fine dining experience to remember (maximum seating capacity 40). With its fine table linen, comfortable leather chairs and unrivalled views of the Monashee Mountain range you can celebrate in true style.

Our executive chef has a unique appreciation for the wonderful ingredients the Okanagan has to offer and our menu features local produce wherever possible! We do not have a set menu for weddings, we give you control over the food and beverage. Our chef’s versatility in the kitchen lends itself perfectly to tailor made wedding menus—after all this is your special day so enjoy your favorites. Add the most extensive wine list on the mountain and you can’t go wrong.

The warm and cozy atmosphere of The Den offers a unique reception experience to enjoy in comfort with an open fireplace, permanent stage and rustic elegance. Our executive chef will create your dream meal whether it is a unique finger buffet to a full banquet style dining experience.

This majestic staircase next to the FireLight Lodge offers beautiful views of Brewers Pond providing you with an unforgettable backdrop to your special day.

The FireLight Lodge is a convenient short walk from our village centre, with ample parking and level access, this location is the perfect choice for weddings who may have guests attending with walking difficulties.

Your guests can gather on the steps, looking down to the fire pit where we recommend you exchange your vows. This allows everyone to share in your ceremony, while taking in all the natural beauty the resort offers. This location is suitable for up to 100 guests. Chair rental can be recommended or for a more casual feel the steps themselves are a natural seating choice for younger guests.

Our wedding fee entitles you and your wedding party to make full use of our romantic setting exclusively for the day of your wedding. Wedding Fee: $300 plus HST. A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your wedding date; final payment is due 30 days prior to your wedding date. No refunds are available.

Please note we only rent the FireLight Steps to couples who have booked their reception at Silver Star Mountain Resort.

The FireLight Lodge is located on the right side as you enter our resort, just in front of our main parking lot. For guests staying in the village it is just a short walk from the Village centre on level ground to the ceremony steps.

As our FireLight Steps are located within our resort setting there are also a few points listed below that you should be aware of:

5. Please note there is no power supply at the FireLight Steps, all wedding music will need to be provided by a portable battery powered stereo or a portable generator can be set up, please bear in mind generators do tend to be noisy.

6. While we do not provide a Justice of the Peace to preside over your ceremony, you are most welcome to bring your own wedding official.

Last minute wedding? Perhaps you've just decided that this is THE summer to tie the knot, or perhaps you want to run away to Silver Star and elope! Either way, we have 2 all-inclusive wedding packages ready for you and 40 - 60 of your closest friends!

*Terms & Conditions

• No substitutions to package components.
• All decorations to be supplied and assembled  by the wedding couple.
• Gazebo set up is available from 9am, take down must be completed by 6pm.
• Reception venue set up from 11am, take down by 1am, venue bar licensed until 12am.
• It is the responsibility of the wedding couple to book their own wedding commissioner.
• Please note written confirmation is required no later than two weeks after the provisional bookings made.  A booking contract will be supplied to you confirming the terms of your individual booking details. At this point a 20% deposit payment is due.
• Please note deposit and payments are non-refundable/transferable.  All pre-payment will be deductible from your final balance invoice.
• Final confirmation of guest numbers, wine orders and final balance payment are all required in writing no later than 14 days prior to your event.
• Your  final balance must reach the agreed minimum spend or over and will be calculated on your final choices and guest numbers provided 14 days prior to your wedding date. 
• The person(s) making the reservation will be held wholly responsible for any damage or breakage to venue rooms or resort facilities.  Hold card details will be required prior to the day.
