Silver Star 75 Nordic Festival

Whether you have never cross country skied before or you have been gliding on skinny skis for years, come and enjoy the fun on Saturday and Sunday on Silver Star's Nordic trails.

Join us for a complimentary morning or afternoon introductory cross country skiing experience.  Rentals, coaching session and welcome reception at the Town Hall included!  We have our top Nordic Pros waiting to share with you the magic of Silver Star's amazing 60+ kms of amazing trails.

9:00 - 11:30 Morning Session (rentals & coaching)
1:00 - 3:30 Afternoon Session (rentals & coaching)

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 19TH

Silver Star 7.5km Cross-Country Fun Race

Join us for our annual fun race on our scenic & welcoming Village Trails in the morning and then get ready for an “xc-iting” cross country challenge in afternoon.  Lots of great categories and prizes!

9:00 - 10:00 Registration at the Tube Town Ticket Office
10:30 - 12:00 7.5 km Fun Race - Start at Silver Queen Trail Head
  Categories:
  (1) Individual (Skate & Classic)
  (2) Team (4 People, 2 Minute Intervals)
  (3) "Tight & Bright" Costume Ski 
  (4) Family & Couples

Excel Fitness XC Skills Challenge

12:00 - 1:00 Registration at the Tube Town Ticket Office
1:30 - 3:00 Team Hill Climb & Descent / Individual Obstacle Course - Silver Queen Trail Head
3:00 - 4:00 Excel Fitness Reception & Draw Prizes

This is the perfect chance for skiers of all abilities to test their skills in our Skills Course with great draw prizes.  Plus the great folks at the Silver Star Fire Department will be putting on their famous "5 Alarm Chili Lunch" on the deck of the FireLight Lodge.  

 

Avoid waiting by pre-registering at the snowsports school 250-558-6065 or register at the Tube Town Ticket Office on Sunday, February 19th.
